Would my business qualify?
Providing that your business is within the county boundary of Somerset and falls under Somerset County Council, then any business can enter the Somerset Business Awards
How do I enter?
Simple! All you need to do is to complete the online entry form, making sure that you understand the criteria for the category/ies that you wish to enter and also that you have read thoroughly the supporting statement that will detail what the judges are looking for from the entries that are received.

Can my company enter?
As long as your company address is within the administrative boundries of Somerset County Council then yes.
Can I enter my business into more than one category?
Yes, you can enter your business into as many categories as you like providing the category is appropriate and that you can provide the required evidence as detailed in the category criteria to support your entry.
What will it cost me?
It is free to enter the Awards, apart for your time.
How much time do I have to complete my entry?
Entry is open from 1st June and the closing date that all entries must be received by is 5.30pm on Thursday 1st September 2011
When will I know if I have been successful?
The first judging meeting takes place on (date to be confirmed) where the judges will give careful consideration to all the entries received. You will then be notified if you have or have not been successful in reaching the next stages.
Will I be visited by a judge?
If your entry passes the first short listing process, you will be contacted by one of the judges who will make an appointment to come out and visit you at your company premises to see first hand what the business is all about.
I’ve made the final shortlist – what next?
If you are successful in making the final short list you will automatically be invited along to the Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony on 21st October 2011 at Somerset County Cricket Club. You will receive two free tickets and further tickets are available to be purchased at a cost of £45 (available mid Sept)
