This award recognises organisations that are creating a positive long-term impact through responsible and sustainable business practices. It celebrates businesses that are embedding sustainability into their strategy, culture, operations, products, services and decision making while continuing to achieve commercial success, innovation and growth.
Judges are looking for organisations that view sustainability and responsible business as opportunities to drive improvement, efficiency and long-term value. Whether through reducing waste, improving resource efficiency, developing sustainable products and services, supporting local communities, engaging employees or creating positive environmental outcomes, this award celebrates businesses that are making a genuine and measurable difference.
This award is open to organisations of all sizes and sectors that can demonstrate how responsible business practices have become part of their day-to-day thinking and contribute to organisational performance as well as environmental and social outcomes.
Judges are looking for:
- Evidence of a clear commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices
- Measurable environmental, social or operational improvements achieved within the organisation
- Examples of reducing waste, energy use, emissions or resource consumption
- Innovative products, services or processes that support long term sustainability
- Evidence that sustainability initiatives have delivered operational, commercial, customer or community benefits
- A commitment to engaging employees, customers, suppliers or partners in sustainability and responsible business objectives
- Examples of sustainable growth, resource efficiency and future focused thinking
- Demonstrable outcomes and achievements that show a positive and lasting impact
- Evidence that responsible business practices are embedded within the organisation’s culture and long-term strategy

How do I enter?
All you need to do is complete the online entry form, making sure that you understand the criteria for the category/ies that you wish to enter.
- Choose your category
- Enter a statement of up to 800 words explaining why your business merits an award
- Highlight up to six key points selling your company to the judges
- Attach up to five pieces of evidence to support your application – attachments can be up to a maximum of 2MB each.
- Attach the company logo
Does my business qualify?
All businesses entering the awards must be based within the district council administrative boundaries of Sedgemoor, South Somerset, Mendip and Somerset West and Taunton. Business can also enter if they are based within the following North Somerset Council and Bath and North East Somerset postcodes:
BS21, 22, 23, 24, 40, 48 and 49
The business should have its head office within the defined eligible area set out above. If this is not the case, the entry MUST demonstrate that the enterprise has local autonomy over business planning, marketing, HR and budget within the eligible areas listed above.

Agratas is making a multi-billion pound development in Somerset, building the UK’s largest battery manufacturing facility on the outskirts of Bridgwater.
