The Business of the Year 5-50 employees Award, sponsored by Lloyds TSB Commercial, was won by Bridgwater based HippyChick
Hippychick was founded by Julia Minchin in 1999. Her first product was the innovative back-saving Hipseat – now a multiple award-winner and a ‘must-have’ for all parents with babies 5-24 months. Julia was joined after two years by her husband Jeremy who left a career in the Metropolitan Police to help run the business.
Today, they employ 16 people and supply a wide range of products to over 500 retailers throughout the UK, including John Lewis, Tesco, Mothercare, Amazon, Boots, Sainsbury’s and Harrods
